An amazing start to the day with a dawn service at the beach at Anzac Cove. The first wave of soldiers hit land at 4.30am. We were there at 6, it was dark and freezing one could only think of the courage them young men had to face the horror that awaited them.
After our service we laid poppies for the fallen soldiers.
A long journey followed taking us back to Instanbul to the Chora - church of the Holy Saviour and viewed amazing Byzantine architecture
Then to the Hagia Sofia an amazing museum with a rich history
