Day 8 - Nuernberg

We started the day looking over our fantastic Roman Empire castle. Then off to a city exploration by foot. We stopped by Albrecht Durer Haus a famous German artist. Then to the Rathaus Platz and Haupt Markt where the famous Christmas markets are held. We then spent time looking through the Nuremberg Palace where the leading Nazi representatives of the regime had to answer crimes against peace and humanity.
The prison area where they were held.
After learning about this terrible time in history we made time for a break and of course some hacky
Then off to the Nazi Rally grounds
Party Congress Grounds
And of course some more hacky in the Luitpold Arena
After a long day of Nazi Germany history and learning of the Third Reich we then headed to the spring carnival, the Volkfest to embrace the culture of the new Germany. Gingerbread hearts, chocolate coated strawberrys, bratwurst, apple strudel, pork knuckle and a few spins on rides we walked home exhausted!
The parade at Volksfest - for all the Star Wars fans
The gingerbread

The night walk home
Now at the hostel working hard on our journals
